Atlanta Music Writers Roundtable 2010
I was thrilled when Denton from Little Advances asked me to take part in what is now being unveiled as the Atlanta Music Writers Roundtable. A lot of us are used to seeing Best Of lists and various battles of music superiority, and Denton wanted to have a discussion of 2010 music instead. The topics we cover are standouts of 2010, our favorite live shows and our breakout local acts as well as a look towards 2011. We omit topics such as Rape Gaze, Kayne West and Justin Bieber.
Through several rounds of emails and quick lightning rounds, we have what you are about to read. To recap, here are those who are involved (and myself):
Rube Ambler – Atlanta’s A-List
Moe Castro – Latest Disgrace
Emily Hogan – Wholly Roller
Nadia Lelutiu – The Moon and Pluto
Davy Minor – Ohmpark
Chuck Norton – Dead Journalist
Denton Poteet – Little Advances
Now that you know who is participating, it’s good to know that we’re splitting up the discussion among these websites. The schedule is below. Since I’m posting this as of Monday Night, you’ll notice that Emily and Davy have already posted Part 1 and Part 2! Thanks again for reading. This was a really great project to be involved with.
